Young scientists in the UAE have been handed a bold challenge – to become pioneers in space DNA experimentation.
How many times did you dream of helping out the NASA team? Well, now’s your chance!
Scientists need your help to solve real-life space exploration questions, like how DNA molecules react in space, how cosmic rays affect our genetic code, and what microorganisms astronauts share with outer space.
The Genes in Space competition that’s currently taking place in the UAE is searching for an interesting and creative DNA experiment to be conducted aboard the International Space Station (ISS).
The winning submission will attend Space Biology Camp at Khalifa University and gets to travel to the Kennedy Space Center to send their experiment to the ISS.
Application deadline on February 3, 2016
